OUR STORY
In the summer of 2016, I embarked on a life-altering journey to Ghana, a trip that would forever connect me with my roots and ignite a passion that would change the course of my life. Little did I know that this voyage was destined to become the first chapter in a story of cultural discovery, family connection, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The reason for my journey was a solemn one – the burial of my late father. Two decades prior, my father had made the courageous decision to retire to his native country of Ghana, leaving behind the familiar landscapes of our former home. It was a choice that, at the time, I struggled to understand fully. I was only a child then, and Ghana was just a distant place on the map, a place of mystery and intrigue.

As I stepped off the plane and onto the Ghanaian soil for the first time, I was greeted with a wave of emotions. The air was thick with anticipation and the bittersweet realization that I was finally in the land my father had chosen as his final resting place. The journey from the airport to our family's ancestral village was a blur of vibrant colors, bustling streets, and the rhythm of life in Ghana.

After bidding my father a heartfelt farewell, I returned to my life in the United States, but Ghana never left my thoughts. I yearned to explore the bustling markets of Accra, witness the breathtaking landscapes of the Ashanti Region, and immerse myself in the vibrant festivals that celebrated Ghana's culture.

Over time, my visits to Ghana became more frequent. I returned not only to handle family matters but also to quench my thirst for knowledge about this enchanting land. I explored its hidden gems, forged new friendships, and became an avid student of Ghana's culture and history.

During these visits, I discovered that my inbox was slowly filling with inquiries from friends, acquaintances, and even strangers who were curious about my experiences in Ghana. There was a growing interest among people of African descent living in the diaspora to reconnect with their ancestral homeland. They longed to explore the roots of their heritage, to witness the beauty of Africa, and to understand the complexities of its history.

It was during one of these visits, while sitting under the shade of a baobab tree, that I had an epiphany.
